What Could Have Been? Help Us Play Out the 2020 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship

Although the 2020 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship is on hold, we’re still interested to see how the event might have turned out during the pinnacle of the college basketball season. That’s why over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be relying on you, the fans, to determine how this year’s Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship could have played out at Atlantic Station in Atlanta.

Beginning Monday, March 23, we’ll reveal the pools and the 32 teams as we launch a Twitter fan vote to help determine conference supremacy.  The 32 teams will be separated into eight pools of four, and we’ll reveal two pools per day, where fans can vote on who would advance out of group play – the two teams from each pool receiving the most votes will move on to the 16-team knockout stage, which will begin on Monday, March 30.

All voting will be conducted through polls on the @3X3UHoops Twitter handle. The voting timeline is as follows:

3/23: Pool A and Pool B voting

3/24: Pool C and Pool D voting

3/25: Pool E and Pool F voting

3/26: Pool G and Pool H voting

3/30: 16-team knockout bracket announced

3/31: Round of 16 voting begins

4/1: Round of 16 voting continues

4/2: Quarterfinal voting begins

4/3: Quarterfinal voting ends

4/4: Semifinal voting

4/5: Championship Vote

To help guide the process, we have identified the final watch list of 128 players that make up each of the 32 conferences. Members of the watch list include 115 All-Conference players, with 71 first-team honorees, 14 Conference Players of the Year and six Conference Defensive Players of the Year and five Associated Press All-Americans. These theoretical teams will represent each conference in the country throughout the voting process.

The following are the pools and the 128 players making up the final watch list and their respective season statistics to give you more information when making your selections.

Stay tuned to @3X3UHoops throughout the coming weeks to cast your votes!
